A nova temporada da NBA arranca já esta quarta-feira, pelas 00h30 (hora de Portugal Continental), no TD Garden, no estado norte-americano do Massachusetts, onde os Boston Celtics, campeões em título, têm encontro agendado com os New York Knicks.
Um encontro que servirá para perceber, ao certo, quais os planos que Joe Mazzulla tem para Neemias Queta, que ganhou outro tipo de preponderância, durante a pré-época, especialmente, devido à lesão contraída por Kristaps Porzingiz, que o deverá manter arredado das opções, durante os primeiros jogos.
O internacional português deu nas vistas, nas oportunidades que lhe foram concedidas, pelo que permanece em aberto a possibilidade de vir mesmo a jogar de início, no duelo inaugural daquele que é o principal escalão do basquetebol norte-americano.
Mais tarde, às 03h00, os Los Angeles Lakers irão receber os Minnesota Timberwolves, no Staples Center, na Califórnia. Aí, as expetativas serão, claro está, a possibilidade de LeBron James vir a entrar em campo na companhia do filho, Bronny James.
Questionado, na véspera, quanto à possibilidade de a dupla vir a ser titular, o treinador, JJ Redick, limitou-se, a dizer que “nada está finalizado” do ponto de vista dos planos. Quanto ao próprio jovem, foi telegráfico quanto a esta hipótese: “Não sei”.
