A Proteção Civil encontra-se neste momento a sinalizar os locais onde o risco de derrocadas é maior.
Em declarações à SIC, o coordenador da Proteção Civil de Gondomar, Paulo Guedes, afirma que as freguesias que mais preocupam as autoridades são Branzelo, São Pedro da Cova e Jovim.

Paulo Guedes informa que as freguesias estão a trabalhar em conjunto com a Proteção Civil “para que qualquer situação que ocorra seja solucionada rapidamente”.
Nas zonas urbanas, levantam-se questões quanto ao risco de inundações durante os períodos de precipitação intensa que se avizinham.
“As juntas de freguesia, também através das suas unidades locais, encontram-se a tirar ou a limpar tudo o que são escoamentos de água”, acrescenta.
As cinzas que agora cobrem os solos queimados irão, inevitavelmente, contaminar captações de água em Gondomar.
O coordenador da Proteção Civil diz mesmo que “é muito difícil evitar a contaminação porque todas estas cinzas, juntamente com a água, correm para essas linhas de água”.
Autarquia faz trabalho de prevenção
Marco Martins, autarca de Gondomar, confirma que o que levanta mais preocupação, neste momento, é o risco de derrocadas nos taludes afetados pelas chamas.
Nesses locais de maior risco, informa, estão a ser colocadas “peças em betão” e algumas barreiras pré-fabricadas de forma a estabilizar as terras, que, com a chuva, podem deslizar pelas encostas.
“Neste momento só conseguimos garantir que aquelas pequenas possibilidades de deslizamento estão a ser acauteladas”, assegura o presidente da Câmara.
O estado do tempo, na região Norte, deverá agravar-se a partir de quarta-feira, pelo que a Proteção Civil alerta para a possibilidade de inundações e deslizamentos de terra, sobretudo nas zonas mais afetadas pelos incêndios da semana passada.
