Em dois processos, Ricardo Salgado já foi condenado a penas efetivas de cadeia. É a última hipótese de Ricardo Salgado escapar aquele que é até agora o castigo mais pesado para o antigo banqueiro.
Além do julgamento do BES, Ricardo Salgado enfrenta pelo menos outros sete processos crime. Em dois deles, o antigo banqueiro já foi condenado a penas efetivas de cadeia. Uma condenação está apenas pendurada num recurso.
É a última hipótese de Ricardo Salgado escapar aquele que é até agora o castigo mais pesado para o antigo banqueiro.
Num processo extraído da Operação Marquês, foi condenado em primeira instância a seis anos de cadeia por ter desviado 10 milhões de euros do Grupo Espírito Santo.
O Tribunal da Relação teve mão mais pesada e agravou a pena para oito anos de prisão já confirmada em fevereiro pelo Supremo.
A defesa não desistiu e recorreu para o Tribunal Constitucional, mas o recurso está há mais de seis meses estacionado no gabinete do juiz Rui Guerra da Fonseca, sem qualquer decisão.
Se for uma nega para Salgado e a condenação transitar em julgado, será a primeira vez que a justiça irá confrontar-se com a questão da prisão efetiva do homem a quem chamavam o Dono Disto Tudo e com o dilema se a avaliação clínica e psiquiátrica se faz antes ou depois da entrada na cadeia.
Por agora, Salgado aguarda também resposta ao recurso da condenação a seis anos e três meses de cadeia por corrupção a Manuel Pinho no chamado processo EDP.
E espera o início do julgamento no processo do BES Angola e nos chamados casos da Venezuela, do ex-vice Presidente do Banco do Brasil, do aumento de capital do BES e ainda no processo principal da Operação Marquês.
